Skype

Such amazing technology and it's FREE!  So far, we've used Skype to talk to Carol; Angela, Steve and Trevor; and John, Janet and Hannah.  I love it -- it's a great way to stay in touch when you're out of town and actually get to see the people you're talking to -- plus no minutes off your cell phone, no long distance charges... perfect!  What you do need is a laptop or PC with a camera and microphone -- both Joe's and my new Dells came with them included.  I was able to carry my laptop around and show our condo to everyone so they can actually see where we are staying.  As for staying in touch with the grandkids, it is wonderful and I'm sure we'll use it many times while we're away.
