So sad the Chiefs' lost to the Colts today... last undefeated team went down!  We got up a 6 am to go to a sports bar in Keihi for the 7:00 am game.



Go Chiefs!  Chiefs fans are always hopeful



We met quite a few Chiefs fans in the sports bar.  The couple sitting at our table moved here 3 years ago and manage a small condo complex -- he was born in KC so always has been a fan even though he moved to CA at a young age.  The young couple sitting directly behind us (right side of the picture) is on vacation here from North Kansas City -- he went to Winnetonka and she went to NKC high school. A guy in a Jayhawks t-shirt was sitting at the bar right behind us.  We probably saw half a dozen other Chiefs' shirts in the bar during the game. 



We're meeting again next Sunday -- same place/same time


After the game, we drove around for a while and eventually stopped at this little roadside stand for a drink. We saw this most unusual tree. You can see how big the blooms are from the picture with Joe in it -- not sure what it is, but it's a very cool tree.

And who knew that all it would take to get Joe to grill was getting to look at the ocean while he grills?  :)



Joe's grilling?  Sweeet!!



...oh, and a great grill (these Fire Magic grills are available for the guests of our condo complex).  Nice...
