Alexander Joseph Storey arrives!

Alexander Joseph Storey

As many predicted, I couldn't resist and flew home for the birth of John and Janet's first son.  They had scheduled the birth for November 11.  After 16 hours of travel (yes, I took a multi-stop flight to save money - I wouldn't advise it, just fork over the money), I arrived in Kansas City on Wednesday evening (November 10).  At 8:05 am the next morning, Alexander Joseph Storey arrived right on schedule.  Both Mom and baby are doing just great.  Dad's doing great too, as you can see below:

Joe insisted that I call as soon as the baby was born, even though he knew it would be 4:00 am in Maui.  He was awake waiting by the phone. :)

The Aunts, Uncles and cousins came to see Alex:

I am staying at John and Janet's house with Hannah while they both stay at the hospital with Alex. Hannah got up Friday morning and ran to his room and peered into the crib -- I know she expected him to be in there.  It was the cutest thing.  She just beams every time someone asks her about her new brother.

Hannah and I are having a great time watching her favorite videos every evening and I am spoiling her to death -- have fun with the after-Grammy "clean-up", John and Janet.  Hehehe.
