Home Again, Home Again

We left Maui late on the late flight December 15, which gave Joe time during the day to get a permanent reminder of our time there:

When we got to the airport, our fears were realized when all 4 of our pieces of luggage were over the 50 lb. weight limit.  A little shifting to make each one closer to the 50 lbs and the ticketing agents said "Close enough" and let them go without extra charge.  Gotta love that Maui attitude!

Our flights were uneventful and we had a nice surprise when Stephen, Angela and Trevor (who got to get out of school!) all picked us up.  It's cold here and we had another surprise that there was still some snow on the ground.

What's this white stuff?

Joe had managed to go the entire time we've been gone without wearing long pants and he was determined not to put on jeans until we got home, so he still had on shorts -- I think he was a little cold when we stepped outside :)

Angela, Steve and Trevor spent the rest of the day and evening with us so we got some great catch-up time with them, which was wonderful.

But Joe was anxious to see the newest addition to our family and by the next morning, he was getting acquainted with his namesake.

Hannah was so excited to show us all the new things in her new room and the baby's room, although she wasn't so sure of her Papa's new look. :)  I'm sure she'll get used to it, as I have, but I'm just not sure if our kids will... haha

  1. OK Deb, just want to say I've finally found the time to read your entire blog--I know you're happy to hear that! Haha! Anyway, it's great, you did a wonderful job with it. I do hope you plan to keep it current! If you do, I promise I'll stay on top of it better. :-)
