Mele Kalekemaka (Merry Christmas in Hawaiian)

We just had a great holiday season... and many, many Christmases. Which was just fine with us -- we got lots of family time with those great kids and grandbabies!

On Wednesday, Stephen hosted a party at his condo downtown and *surprise* Santa stopped by.  Oh man, Trevor was totally stunned when Santa walked in (he's at the age where he's just not sure...).  The look on his face was priceless.  And the littler ones were just thrilled.  Thank you Beautiful Aunt Lou (aka Santa's hairdresser) for making it happen.

Yes, I believe... now about that Wii

We cannot believe Santa came especially to see us at our party!

We continued our tradition of a family dinner at Hibachi on the Plaza.  We have been going there over 20 years and it is one of our most special family events -- always so much fun! -- and we all look forward to it every year.

After dinner, the kids picked up the grandbabies and we all opened our presents at our house.  We always have craziness -- Janet opened TWO gifts that were not hers but she swears they had her name on both of them; Trevor nearly knocked out the overhead lights testing a superball that bounces 75' (bad gift Papa!) -- but in the end, we all had a great time and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family.

Trevor is excited about his new Wii

They love to open those presents!

Yes, I do miss Maui but I wouldn't trade this time for anything...
