We spent three fun days at the 41st annual Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale:
There were 270,000 people in attendance and over $92M in sales this year |
Joe loved this corvette -- good taste because it later sold for $325,000! |
Because Danny & Jeannie had buyers cards, we were able to actually go on stage! |
Danny and Jeannie bought this great 1969 Camaro Congratulations!! |
Thursday evening, we headed to Tuscon to visit Herman and Nancy. I had never been to Tuscon and I thought it was a great area. Nancy has always told me that the adage is, "When the mountains turn pink, it's time to drink". On the way to Tuscon, I was amazed to see that the mountains actually do turn pink at sunset and I snapped this picture:
They live in the foothills of the Santa Catalina mountains and it is just beautiful |
During our trip, we also went to the Talking Stick Casino twice -- Joe won both times and I actually ended up ahead by a few dollars.
On Sunday, Joe and I golfed with Kathy and Anita at Coyote Lakes :
I hadn't golfed in a long time and it was interesting to say the least -- but I had fun |
Joe, Kathy and Anita putt out while I am far away looking for my ball :-D |
While out of town we found out that Joe's aunt, who lives at the Lake of the Ozarks, was on vacation and would be in Orlando when we returned, so after our plane landed we went to visit her at the Fountains Resort.
A whirlwind trip but really fun and so great to get to see everyone.
