Maui

Here we are back in Maui -- but this time for a really long stay. I love that we will not feel like we have to constantly be on the run to make sure we don't miss something before we have to return back to work -- you know that's how those 2-week vacations feel.  Maui always feels comfortable and familiar to me -- i just love it here.  The sunset our first night was outstanding.

Here is our condo for the next few months.  It's a 2-story condo with a loft master bedroom -- those huge windows look right out onto the ocean.  4th floor but there is an elevator right around the corner.  Also, here is the view from our lanai.

We are getting spoiled our first 15 days with a convertible but on the 15th, we are switching to a Dodge Caliber... I know, I know but the gas prices are crazy here and we're driving like maniacs every day.  Actually, we've found a Caliber I love and have reserved it from a local car rental place -- it's totally loaded and has padded roof racks which look like we're ready to load up the surf boards -- haha.  But it sure was nice driving the convertible down to Lahina last night to sit on the seawall, eating Lappert's ice cream and watching the sunset.

Joe's sweet ride

Speaking of surfboards, we spent this afternoon at Makena Beach (also known as Big Beach) and, no, we didn't go over to Little Beach. :)  It was a great time, not crowded at all but enough to get some great people-watching... man, can those kids boogie-board.  Saw one of them do a complete flip on his and stay standing.
