A Christmas Carol

A couple of weeks ago, when we were watching the Chiefs' game with our new Maui friends, Lori asked if I'd be interested in seeing a play with her.  The theater group was performing A Christmas Carol at the historic Iao Theater.  I knew Carol and Richard would be in Maui during the time of the play, so we decided to get 3 tickets and have a girls' night at the theatre.

We made a night of it, leaving early enough to have dinner first in downtown Wailuku.  The Iao Theater was small and intimate and in great shape and it was a great rendition of the play.  The singers were wonderful and we loved hearing all the traditional Christmas carols.

The Iao Theater first opened in 1928
Some really big stars have appeared here over the years

The set design was great -- especially for a local production
We had great seats!

It was a great idea and we really had so much fun!
