Visiting the Gulf Side

Dave and Ginny (Carol's brother and sister-in-law) own a place on the Gulf side of Florida near Tampa.  They are down for a couple of weeks from their home in Philadelphia, so we decided to invite ourselves for a visit :)

After catching up, we had a cut-throat double-elimination game of shuffleboard (yes, shuffleboard).  After intense competition and close games (and some inappropriate name-calling), Carol and Richard became the shuffleboard champions.

We had heard some fantastic reviews of Anna Maria Island, so the next morning we decided to drive to the island and see for ourselves.  Although a fog had settled over the water, Dave made sure we saw most of the island as he searched for the best place to have lunch *wink*.  It truly is a beautiful island with the whitest sand beaches.

We at least dipped our feet in the gulf

Loved Anna Maria Island and
hope to return for a longer visit

It was a really fun little trip and thanks to Dave and Ginny for all their hospitality!
