Goodbye Florida, Hello KC!

Left sunny Florida to head home for the dreaded p-a-c-k-i-n-g... we couldn't put it off any longer.

Where did we get all this stuff?
Took some very creative packing to get it all loaded

The trip home was happily uneventful, although we passed several stretches in Georgia where huge patches of trees were just devastated - torn to shreds - due to the recent tornados.  And we saw several homes and businesses that had just exploded.  It went on for miles and miles.

Joe nearly had several heart attacks as we stopped
for gas across the country and once almost
ran us out of gas looking for a cheaper price

It did take two pretty long days of traveling -- it was a little slow going due to pulling the trailer -- but Angela/Steve/Trevor and John/Janet/Hannah/Alex met us at the house with pizza and beer and we were so happy to see them again.

Although we know we are extremely fortunate to have so quickly and easily sold our house in this market, our lives for the next two weeks are defined by these seven letters: P-A-C-K-I-N-G.  Movers have been hired, storage units rented, and soon the house-hunting will begin.

I am really concerned that the kids are going to
turn us in to the producers of "Hoarders"
