Beautiful Day for an Art Fair

Today was an absolutely beautiful day, so we headed to New Smyrna Beach (listed as one of the "100 Best Small Art Towns in America") for the 35th annual Festival of the Arts.

First we went to Breakers Restaurant, which is right on the beach, for lunch.  We were lucky enough to get a window seat where we could not only watch people on the beach, but see dolphins playing in the ocean!

Breakers offers 17 different kinds of burgers - yum!

I love this boardwalk area

Then off to one of the best art fairs ever -- and what a show of talent! Over 200 tents of paintings, sculpture, photographs, jewelry -- plus some unusual art forms such as "fish rubbings" (where paper or cloth is pressed on actual fish to create an image).

A lot of other people thought it would be
a great day for the festival

What a great sales pitch

We got home just in time to see this beautiful sunset.  If we had seen this photograph at the art fair, I would never have believed it hadn't been retouched... it was amazing.
